  • Angoalissar donates 8,500 food baskets and offers health professionals protective equipment

    Jul 2020
This initiative aims to help about 6,500 needy families in the provinces of Cunene, Namibe, Huila, Kwanza Norte, Bengo, and Cabinda, who receive basic necessities such as rice, beans, sugar, pasta, wheat flour, cornmeal, condensed milk, and powdered milk, among others, with the main focus on the neediest municipalities, namely Curoca, considered one of the neediest regions in the country.

During the same period, the company distributes to the Multisectorial Commission for the Prevention and Fight Against Covid-19 individual protection equipment so that the health professionals can carry out their work safely, as well as rapid test kits to identify cases of coronavirus.

Angoalissar's Management, along with its Social Responsibility Department, believes that "doing good is always the best way to contribute to the dignified maintenance of life and for that life to contribute to the dynamization of economies, societies, and countries.

Consequently, in the current circumstances, this company could not stay out of the necessary support to populations and families who have the least. Because, "although the virus remains under control in Angola, the international financial crisis is affecting the country's economy and people's lives in a violent way." The Administration further emphasizes that "supporting the development of Angola and its society, including its culture and those who need it most, is part of the company's DNA."
