The Dubai blood drive was held on February 10, in collaboration with Dubai Blood Donation Centre and Dubai Health Authority, and Luanda on February 24, with the Angolan Blood Bank's full support. Our colleagues received the initiative with enthusiasm, and the community in Dubai decided to jump in on the bus and donate.

During this campaign, we tried to demystify some aspects of blood donation and educate our colleagues and communities – donating blood is safe, painless, quick, and beneficial for the donor's health. It is the easiest way to save a life directly and the most valuable donation a person can ever make.

For many, this was the very first time to donate. Jacinto Adriano, IT Department of Angoalissar, and a first-timer told us that what truly inspired him was a fellow expat colleague. "I thought to myself that, if he is willing to go through with it and save lives, as an Angolan, I have the moral duty to do it as well. My advice to all is: go and donate. You may be saving a member of your own family," he added.

We thank all our heroes that came to lend an arm for this cause. Although many couldn't give blood due to health conditions, we proudly announce that we potentially saved 528 lives together. Once again, we prove that giving back is truly in our DNA.
