  • Rafinole Begins Production in Luanda, Strengthening Angola’s Industrial and Food Base

    Oct 2025

Webcor Group has officially begun production at Rafinole, its new edible-oil industrial complex in Cacuaco, near Luanda and close to the port. This marks a proud moment for Webcor and for everyone who contributed to turning a long-held vision into reality.

Built on the historic site of the former Cimianto factory, the Industrial Complex brings together refining, bottling, and packaging in one modern, fully integrated operation. With a refining capacity of 400 tons per day and bottling lines capable of 150 000 litres daily, Rafinole stands among the most advanced facilities of its kind in the region.

Through this investment, Webcor now produces Angoalissar’s flagship brands, including Primavera, Biba and Santa Clara, locally in Angola, ensuring greater efficiency, faster distribution, and stronger value creation across the national food chain.

Rafinole embodies the belief that industry and sustainability must advance together. The complex reuses by-products, reduces waste, and turns a historic industrial site into a source of technology, employment, and opportunity. Hundreds of direct and indirect jobs are being created, supported by continuous training and collaboration with local partners.

Rafinole represents what we believe in: transforming ideas into impact, investing where it matters most, and creating industries that belong to Angola and serve its people,” said Wissam Nesr, Executive Chairman of Webcor Group.

With Rafinole now operational, the Group reaffirms its leadership role in Angola’s food and industrial development, building industries that serve people, communities, and the nation’s future.
